Mikhail Feodorovich Frolov was born on November 1, 1922 in the village of Nelzhe in the Voronezh Region. In 1929 the Frolovs moved into Voronezh, where young Mikhail got the opportunity to study. In 1940 he entered the Voronezh Art School. He had been a student of the well-known artist Buchkury for the year when the war interrupted his studies. All the years of the war (1941-1945) he served in the Soviet Army. In spite of all war difficulties Mikhail painted and drew much. After the war he continued to study, but not in Voronezh, which was completely ruined. Instead, he went to Penza Art School, one of the oldest art schools in the central part of Russia, and studied there for one year. He didn’t finish the program at Penza because his mother became ill and he was needed at home in Voronezh to work. Creative contacts with such artists as M. Likhachev, K. Uspenskaya, V. Komolov and others became his art school. Frolov created a large body of works and participated in different zone, republican, and other exhibitions. He died in the 1990s. Art:
