Ivan Borisovich Voronov was born in Voronezh on December 17, 1935. He graduated from the literary department of the Voronezh State Teacher’s Training College in 1959. He began studying art under the artist A.P. Vasiliev in 1953 and then studied with the artist N.S. Sosedko from 1958 to 1959. He has participated in municipal and regional thematic exhibitions since 1965. His most well-known works are “An Old Woman” (1987), “Broken Mirror. The Ilyinski Temple” (1990), and “Cretaceous Mountains of Divnogorie” (1999).

Voronov works mainly on the theme of the city of Voronezh and the surrounding landscapes
