Andrei Anatoliovich Levitin was born in 1947 in Leningrad to a family of artists. His father is well-known artist and academician Anatoli Levitin. From 1960 to 1966 he studied at the Secondary Art School associated with the Academy of Arts. He studied at the Repin Institute in the studio of Alexander Zaytsev, and graduated in 1972. He became a member of the Artists’ Union in 1983. Levitin participated in municipal and All-Union exhibitions.
