Leonid Vasilevich Khudyakov was born in 1915. In 1944, he graduated from the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg). From 1949 to 1952 he was the main artist in the creative studio of the Academy of Fine Arts, and from 1952 to 1992 he was a professor of the Academy. He has been a member of the St. Petersburg chapter of the Artists’ Union of Russia since 1944. He participated in more than 55 art exhibitions both in Russia and abroad. He was a contributor to art auctions held in France until 1990. His works include landscapes, portraits, and still lifes.
